About Chris Ranglas
A father, a leader, and a neighbor invested in EUSD
Raised by a single mother who became a college math teacher, Chris Ranglas learned early that a good public school can change the direction of a child's life. The teachers who took an interest in him were the difference between getting by and getting ahead — and that is the standard he wants for every student.
Professionally, he serves as an IT Project Manager at UC San Diego, where he manages complex projects, competing deadlines, and teams that have to deliver. It is unglamorous work that translates directly to a school board: read the numbers carefully, ask hard questions early, and make sure dollars reach classrooms instead of overhead.
At home, he and his wife Erica are raising four children right here in Escondido. When he's not coaching or volunteering with his family, he watching his children use their gifts and talents. He sees the pickup lines, the homework folders, and the field trips from the parent's side of the table — and he intends to keep that perspective in every vote he casts.
